Here at XitKey, we very much understand the ups and downs of entrepreneurial journey & small business ownership. With that being said, selling a business can be one of the most daunting, unclear, emotionally charged & exhausting undertakings one can put themselves through. Navigating the process of a successful exit can be a formidable task to complete on your own. The due diligence process can be draining. And if not guided correctly is when deals often fall apart. Often, when taking a business to market in a traditional way, Sellers are not being educated properly beforehand, and unreasonable expectation are set early on in the process. In turn, Sellers are then met with Buyers and offers that do not meet these expectations. Leading to frustration and fatigue by both Sellers and Buyers.
There are two major components to deal structuring. Price & terms. XitKey lives by the philosophy that one party cannot control both price & terms. Deals rarely close when one party insists on controlling both. XitKey is here to coach Sellers though this practice, educate them on business evaluation, the different type of Buyers that might be available to them, and what it will take to maximize their valuation and exit within the allotted timeframe.
XitKey’s core focus to make Seller’s exit experiences, seamless, comfortable, stress-free, hassle-free, secure and calm as possible. However, as stated above, exiting is often a formidable & daunting task and there are no guarantees that the process is going to be without turmoil. XitKey is here to take as much burden as we possibly can from each client we work with and be that guiding light to help navigate through these uncharted waters.
